Mekinist is part of the Kinase Inhibitors class and treats Melanoma. Kinase inhibitors are used to treat cancers such as leukaemia, breast cancer, melanoma, lung cancer, and renal cancer. They are also used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and to prevent organ transplant rejection. They work by stopping cancer cell growth and preventing the spread of the cells. Mekinist is only available as a brand name drug.
